Locking Pliers are equipped with a hex adjusting screw on the adjustment bolt which benefi ts the
end user by adding an additional controlled release of the tool and allows fi ne adjustment.
CR Range Locking Pliers
Traditional locking pliers are prone to slipping unless a signifi cant amount of pressure is applied. The NEW IRWIN Vise-Grip
Curved Jaw (CR) Locking Pliers feature a unique self-energizing lower jaw that delivers three times more gripping power
than traditional locking pliers, with absolutely no slipping or stripping. The slotted geometry of the new ‘self-energizing’
Vise-Grip CR locking pliers exponentially increases torque for more secure clamping, and while traditional locking pliers
only allow for a couple of contact points on a work piece, which can result in the tool slipping or failing to loosen a bolt,
Vise-Grip CR establishes multiple contact points, guaranteeing a signifi cantly tighter grip. As a result, the new CR range
is especially well-suited for performing in greasy work environments and for manoeuvring in tight spaces where a worker
cannot easily get two hands on a tool.
